Silverfang is the first born daughter of Jayfeather and Cinderheart's secret litter of kits. Her and her siblings are part of a prophecy stating that they will save the four clans from distruction. When Jayfeather was still an apprentice Spottedleaf came to him with a prophecy. The prophecy stated that "The Scourge of the clans will return once more, but four cats that have fire in their blood and walk with the stars, will defeat it once and for all."
