This dog is full of pep! Springers were bred as flushing dogs as early as the 1500s. Their job was to chase and leap at game fowl, making them take flight for netting and eventually, shooting. This makes them highly energetic and fun-loving dogs today. Don't expect a Springer to keep all four paws on the floor for long. You will likely be licked in the face; it's in the name!
